In the early 2000’s, the bicycle market could be best described as functional and rather dull. The Cape Canaveral team saw an opportunity to introduce a fashionable bicycle brand called Johnny Loco, with the vision of turning bikes into to fashion statements, while of course maintaining the functional characteristics. Johnny Loco is built around a fictional character who values freedom as the most important asset in life.
The brand quickly rose to fame in The Netherlands, generating a multi million turnover in only its second year of existence. Soon, the product offering was extended with clothing, sunglasses and other accessories. After building Johnny Loco for five years, the company was successfully sold to one of its very first fans.
